Fp&L

FP&L

thirty one million for a Jet
I don't see how it'll ever leave the ground
for the weight of all the children
crying in the darkness all around
so I prayed, God have mercy on the pilots
and I wondered how long
God will have mercy on this system fueled by greed
and what do we really need
this old man will probably die
while there are still children out there to feed
therefore I sit down and write
and pray to God for our mercy

I am here to turn your power off
I am truly sorry for your loss
you know it's just my job
yeah, it's just my job
kill the power
hit the switch and kill the power
hit the switch and kill the power
hit the switch and kill the power
all you little children
suffering in the dark
come into the light
and hit the switch and kill the power
yeah, hit the switch and kill their power
kill kill kill their power for ever more
may your words serve love and your neighbors
pray they cry out for the Lord
who forever loves the humbled and the meek,
broken, trodden down, and the poor

FP&L has no heart. It's almost impossible for those who live in poverty to live without power. They die hidden away under bridges or in the woods. I was visiting a gal dying of cancer when the power company came to shut off her energy. Luckily, he gave her one more day and I was able to help her. God knows, she was suffering enough already. But how can we held "all you little children suffering in the dark." Very sad and moving. Love, Carolyn
