Fourth of July

It’s the fourth of July
And all through the land
The local high schools
Strike up their marching band
The floats are festooned
With flowers galore
Red, white, and blue bunting’s
The usual décor
And then when it’s dark
And the fireworks flare
Our thoughts wander back
To the “rocket’s red glare”
And how we as a country
Had to fight to be free
And we swell up with pride
At “Oh, say can you see”
Yes, we are proud of our country
This we can not deny
And we let the world know
On the fourth of July.

Now all we have to do is get up the gumption to let our leaders know that they can't just throw it all away like so much garbage from yesterday. Good job here my friend. God Bless, JB
