Four Old Ladies At a Bar
Two old maids who were never engaged or married
A widow and I sat across from each other discussing life
I have been married twenty-five years longer than any of them
For forty-nine years I have been called a “wife”.
We discuss dating, but promptly stop when we realize
One of us has never had a date, not a single one.
The widow says “I wish he would come back alive”
I would beat his ass, and laugh at this fun!
Let’s have a drink one of the old maids says, raising her cup.
We have a couple, and begin laughing at the silliness of Sue.
Of bringing someone back to life, so she can beat him up.
We cannot stop laughing, for we do not know what else to do.
