Four Light Bulbs Hanging
In a dream I saw four light bulbs hanging,
each was filled with a picture to behold,
the first one looked black and void of color,
it represented air or oxygen and was duller.
The second bulb held a small green plant,
a miniature picture of our verdant earth,
plush meadows and forests grounded with roots,
keeping soil together and protecting like boots.
A glowing flame appeared in the third bulb,
blazing away and providing heat nearby,
reminded me of when man first discovered fire,
warming early cave people for comfort desire.
Water floats in the last bulb portraying a must,
we cannot live without the liquid gold
which encourages environmental growth,
and replenishes our planet with an aquatic oath.
