Four Eyes

It disappears before your eyes
Your clarity of vision is in demise
A fact for certain, you cannot deny
As the ageing process, slips on by

Objects and letters have become slightly blurred
But you won’t admit it, it’s quite absurd
Will wearing glasses be like losing your hair?
Will people look at me, stand and stare?

Long sighted, short sighted, whatever it be
Why has this suddenly happened to me?
An eye sight test will clearly reveal
The glasses you need and the cost of the deal

Then you remember, all those jokes and teases
To all the people you pulled to pieces
Now you’ve become one of those guys
How do you like it? ........ ‘Four eyes’
