Four by Four

She dreamed of winter Frost adorning window panes At night, the marshmallows Slept in hot cocoa. She watched the petals Like seasons, they fell One by one, alone We tended the shrine. Fireflies pierced summer's darkness With teardrops, golden, painting A world in warmth A heart at peace. Spring awaited our arrival With blossoms and lanterns, Coloring the silver grass With our family portrait.
