Forty Five Pound Mood Changer

He wandered into the kitchen in a grumpy mood, so blue Which lasted two seconds when he saw the friendly hue Of twenty-one month old Derrick and grinning doggie too No one could stay grouchy looking at smiles of these two Their natural smiles lit up the kitchen in every direction. Grandpa felt loved, and cherished, they exuded perfection. He put Derrick on his lap for a second, but then had a recollection At this age, he would rather maneuver, and eat some confection. So he gave the child a sucker, and watched him and the dog play. It turned into the most delightful ever Happy New Year’s Eve Day. He remembered having these kinds of smiles, as he heard the boy say Gammpa which truly and utterly made his grouchy day go away!
