Fortieth Anniversary Salute

Friends and family have come together on this very special day,
To join in a celebration of love that has forever stayed!
Forty years ago, Danny took Opal's hand into his,
And made a commitment to in love to forever be true,
A ceremoney was held in front of God and family
Vows were made, two -- said "I do"
It was a love meant to last for all eternity!
		Life began anew!
In this world we live in today it isn't easy for love to survive,
You are an inspiration to us all, through all the trials and tribulations
You let God be your guide!
		Love is forever true!
You have shared a lifetime together, made memories along the way,
Memories that you shall treasure forever!
		Memories to forever stay!
You started out as two, soon your family grew,
Two were joined by four -- Children in which to adore!
You watehed them grow with each new day, knowing one day,
They would go their seperate ways.
You can take pride in knowing, the love you have built is forever growing!
In the lives of your children, as well as in the lives of your grandchildren.
As we have all joined together today, I write this poem as my way to say,
	Congratulations on a lifetime accomplishment.
May the love that the two of you share, continue to be an inspiration to all those who
care!
