Forsaken

Forgotten lie the graves of the forsaken, long unremembered, strangled by the grasses of neglect; misbegotten, ever mute they fester, worm-mingled, mercy less, with no vestige of respect. ******* an exercise in short 'e' long 'a,' 's,' 'm' and 'g' letters

Keith, a sad poem but worth the read. When visiting a graveyard near Mattoon, Illinois years ago, we discovered several gravesites that were abandoned or forgotten. Some of them were dated before the Civil War. Nearby, an old and deserted log church stood, creaking a little which added to the Stephen King moment. All the best, Sonia.
