Forsaken

Forgotten lie the graves of the forsaken,
long unremembered, strangled
by the grasses of neglect.
Misbegotten, forever mute they fester,
worm-mingled, mercy less,
without a vestige of respect.

Well this is just plain sad. Well written and unfortunately true for many. I cannot end here, so I shall go onto another one of your poems for now. Love, Shar

Line 3 is simply amazing. Love the phrase "the grasses of neglect". Soul stirring, sad poetry. Beautiful! ~Juliane

Well, that is a very sad reflection, indeed. Excellent, excellent collection of words here - very tight. dark, but brilliant. love, Kristin
