Forlorn Hope

Broken she clings to forlorn hope
Who can comfort her but for Thee?
She finds it difficult to cope
Her shattered heart won't let her be

Lost in life's meandering maze
Broken she clings to forlorn hope
She's longing for Thine loving gaze
Her prayers are her escape rope

Her faith is strong, she will not mope
Overcoming all fears, she stands
Strengthened she clings to joyful hope
She knows her life is in Thine hands

Though her future looks bleak and dark
It will turn to kaleidoscope
That's why her faith has found the mark
Strengthened she clings to joyful hope

Congratulations on your win Jo. I have believed for a long time that "clinging" to hope truly helps us to "hit the mark" and turn life into a "kaleidoscope" of colors with the light transforming the darkness. Wonderfully and creatively crafted. Blessings of bright hope to you!

Indeed you DID do a quatern but you named it rhyme. Hmmm, did he say to use rhyme as the form? I'll have to check that out Anyway, I think you did an incredible job. I could not think of as many cool things to rhyme with hope, so I reversed my title to hope forlorn (and now it's not really titled appropriately. haha)
