Forgotten Words

Forgotten Words

Alone we enter and alone we leave,
So what is better to believe?

That in all things we did what's right,
We struggled through with all our might.

That in this realm for this short time,
We stood our ground and walked the line.

Or could it be that in our haste,
Some precious things we left to waste.

Forgetting that in all we live,
The best of all is what we give.
