Forgotten Roads

This path I follow,
Leads to nowhere,
A hundred men before me followed these,
They found nothing,
Why do I follow this road,
What do I hope to find,
I don't know,
Maybe I search for infinite wisdom,
The ability to know anything or to answer any question,
Or , Could it possibly be riches,
Enough money to buy all I desire,
Maybe I want love,
Someone to hold my hand,
Someone to be there for me,
Someone to care,
I believe the greatest things the world has to offer,
Are in places nobody looks,
So maybe this old forgotten road,
Will give me the treasures that I seek.
