Forgotten Fields
Resting are the willows,
the clouds cotton pillows,
she lay beneath the open skies
with dandelion tears in her eyes.
Does she drift with the breeze,
this lonely girl with emotional seas?
All the world is faded lines,
losing crisp by daylight blinds,
she knows not where she wants to be,
only that she wants not me.
Belonging where nature grows,
the essence of soft shadows,
bring her peace at time of war,
she stays here forever more.
