Forgotten By Them All
Far from the set...
The sun still drowns;
Where land meets end,
And the light still bounds.
A sound that carries...
For an echo so faint;
Leaves ears to dance,
And dreams in the wait...
The long lost rant...
Forgotten by them all.
In front of me so distant,
The surroundings seem to fall;
While within this rising smoke,
A soul sits in refuge...
And the mist that consumes,
Never leads to what ensues...
As fate recons,
We're unlikely to forget...
A world upon these shoulders,
And a life without regret.
While the sun drifts to down...
As the street lights shine;
A world lays to rest,
While the rest look to find...
Searching for something worth remembering,
Or at least not to miss;
Just some words for recollecting,
Until this story fits...
For these memories seem curses,
Taunting my world so very small...
Nothing worth holding onto here,
Destined to be forgotten... by them all.
