Forgotten

The silent voices
crying in pain
your soul has known struggle
 Shades of gray
knowing of your incarceration
your isolation
 The tears feel worthless
laid down in emptiness
so bitter, so cold
 Prayers seem like vain words
said without meaning
lost within the winds
 Faith has forgotten this soul
tied down by this world
bound and oppressed
