Forgotten

the small blanket you carried around
disappeared with no trace, no sound
not knowing when you'll think of it last
it seems to only be a part of your past
but the little things don't seem to matter
its the bigger memories that lurk
the ones you feel, but can't seem to place
thoughts after thoughts start to race
more of a feeling than a memory
how long until there's no more me
