Forgotten?

Have I been forgotten?
The one who was there to take his hand
In the losing,
  Celebrate,
In the winning
The one who was snapped at,
yelled at, and spit upon,
  Have I been forgotten?
You may forget me,
  but you'll see me,
and remember,
 remember all those times.
Have I been forgotten?
   Not for long.
