Forgot

Oh the wind , wants to sing me a song
Lord , hope it don't take to long
Running down the road
Carrying my own load
Time is in my side
Long as I can abide
The lonely way
That I face each day
Can only run so far
Getting away from the scar
Going alone I see the past
A stones cast
From yesterday
My soul lost its way
And slipped into tomorrow
Carrying such sorrow
Wanted only to heal
So I could feel
My heart so wanted to give
So I could again, learn to live
The wounded pride
I couldn't hide
Cause they lied
I grew fear
Chose to have no other soul near
I grew lonely
Was I the one and only
That ever felt such pain
I held my life in distain
Which left it's stain
Why should I care
I didn't dare
I started to hate me
I couldn't see
The way road that road went
I got slightly bent
Went further astray
Rage was my way
My heart grew cold
My body grew old
Walking alone
I refused to be shown
My way was wrong
Been so for so long
I lost
I paid the cost
I turned to ice
Wasn't very nice
But love was there
I tried not to care
Want very fair
Then one day
Some way
The ice started to melt
The emotions I felt
I felt a song
Had been so long.
I learned to live
To give
To be a part
Ice melted from my heart
I learned I could smile
Been there all the while
I just forgot
My heart started to rot
Time goes on, hate must not
Don't give into the rage
Start a new page
Clean your heart
Make a new start
This, only you can do
I speak true
It's up to you
