Forgiving the Reflection

FORGIVING THE REFLECTION

I forgive you after all these years
For I've found something to stop the tears,
I forgive you for causing me so much pain
And for making me feel like I was going insane.

I forgive you for never accepting love
For when it got close you pushed and shoved,
I forgive you for telling me I was never good enough
Never smart or pretty, I’d always have it rough.

Telling me I would never have what it takes
And destined to constantly make mistakes,
Yes I forgive the reflection in the mirror
For my purpose now is so much clearer.

Jesus forgave my every wrong
So I could now grow up strong,
He came to storm the gates of hell
So that through His forgiveness, I could forgive myself
