Forgiven
God did I ever tell you
How you hurt me so
Did you ever wonder?
Why I had to go!
Even though I was sowing all the right seeds
Love, peace and compassion
Still you bought me to my knees!
You say you know a person
When you look inside their heart
But I think you judged me wrongly
From the very start!
I’m full of admiration and very caring too
And even when I’m swearing
I’m still the one you knew!
But now my heart is broken
And very torn apart
My mind is somewhat shaky
Not thinking very sharp!
I asked you give me wisdom
And make me very smart
Instead you gave laughter
And a jolly little heart!
Now I understand you
And the gifts that you do bring
It’s to make others joyful
With the blessings that I sing
So thank you Lord for teaching
Hard lessons in my life
They bought me many blessings
And a gorgeous sexy wife!
