Forgive You

I forgive you for what you put me through
I forgive you for taking my happy days away
I forgive you for not loving me
It took me along time to forgive you
Since my dark days are starting to turn blue (no thanks to you)
I forgive you, for everything

I tried my best to get you to call me
Just to say you love me
I cried for you
Would have died for you
Just to hear you say
“Daddy loves you to”

Now I've turned back to reality
There's no more dreaming for me
You took that away
It's time for me to do me

You had your chance to many times
No more tears are coming from my eyes
I'm tired of crying
Tired of trying to get you to care
But I forgive you

I forgive you for loving your son more
I forgive you for not taking time out to see us
See I can forgive you for everything
I'm just letting it all go

I forgive you

 Just remember.....
                 Forgiving ain't always
                           Forgetting...

Strong Feelings. We are what we are from every hello to good-bye. What we experience molds us into what we are. Not forgiving can destroy you in bitterness and allow what it is that so affected you and eventually destroy you. I hope in this powerful peace as you wrote the words they were let go onto the paper. Yes never forget if you've actually let go. Thanks for bleeding a piece of you into words and sharing. I liked your work and appreciate your comment. I'm glad you related. its why i write

The greatest strength and the greatest love walks away from the pain and hurt other people caused..walks away, forgives, never returns and simply carries on with its own loving ......
