Forgive Me

The lights went out
Forgive me
I stopped listening to your heart beat
Tell me
I stopped seeing who you were
Show me
Show me
Show me again
Make me remember

Thought you were alone
So wrong
You stopped watching
I showed you
You had nothing to say
I explained
I Told you
Told you
Make you forget
Made you forget
Forget why we weren't
Remember
Remember why we were
Because we were
We always were
We were we
Couldn't be without we

You didn't do what I thought
You took me by surprise
Surprise
You didn't do anything
At first I was angry
Then up further thought, confused
Confused
Confused again
Until you stopped making eye contact all together
