Forgive

There is something I learned this very day,
How forgiveness can help you in many different ways.

When you forgive someone it relieves you of much unneeded stress,
And to the person you forgive they probably could care less.

But in Gods eyes it is something the big Guy requires,
If you can’t forgive then you won’t be one He desires.

So think about this if you really must vent,
Think about Jesus and why He was sent.

You think He looked forward to being nailed on that cross,
This was an act of forgiveness, but we were the ones who suffered the loss.

We punished the one pure thing this world has ever known,
What was His crime, mercy and kindness was all He ever had shown.

What did He say dieing on that tree,
He asked for forgiveness for us, He was our Savior you see.

And when you really forgive, you feel the pressure relieve,
Your heart feels lighter and it helps you believe.

So if bitterness has taken root in your heart,
Just cast it out you’ll be doing your part.
