Forgive
I forgive you for the things you use to say
I forgive you for the unfulfilled promises you made
I forgive you for the pain you put me through
And know in my heart I never hated you
I forgive you for the way you treated me
I forgive you for the many years you left me
I forgive you for not taking responsibility
And know I never wanted to stop believing in you
I forgive you for the tears I cried at night
I forgive you for things you did that weren't so right
I forgive you for the pain filled days and endless sleepless night
Just know I'm still waiting for you to make your wrongs right
I forgive you for all that has happened
Now you must forgive yourself to
I don't forgive you for just you but for me to
Go ahead and do the same thing
I forgive you daddy
So does HE
Now the question is
Do you forgive yourself or are you still
Living in the past where you'll never be set free. . . .
