Forgive

Rest of the night I could not sleep. I was in severe pain. I suffered alone. Full world was asleep, while I was awake. My sufferings witnessed by none. Your greed to get more created deep lesions. I remained with grief.I could not shed tears, as each drop of it would affect your happiness. My silent sufferings did not reach you. I waited for the new day; Morning sunlight brings new hopes and aspirations. Brings peace in me. It helps me to forget and to forgive your yesteryears’ sins. But, you continue to lust for acquiring more pleasure and more wealth for yourself. Your acts dig deeper wounds in me. All silent sufferings of mine should come to an end. I pray to HIM to give you strength to do good for others. How long I'll continue to forgive all your misdeeds. A mother has no option except to forgive her child.

Ah, that last line is so heartfelt! I feel your anguish and this is why we read poetry, so thank you.
