Forgetting

I saw him today And in that moment, it reminded me of everything I loved. His height, his smile, the straight face, his walk. I almost forgot..those things weren't mine to think about anymore. I wished I was the one who'd gotten the message when he got home safe... I saw him today and I was crushed..he wasn't mine anymore.

Awe, this is an awesome Carpe Diem form, Oriana,, Welcome to Poetry soup, I hope you enjoy the community. Here, you will find friendly poets who enjoy supporting one another.
