We sat at the end of the bed,
Together we held hands,
and our breath too.
We waited,
for the news to repeat.
There was nowhere to go.
Just,
a blank screen.

How many remember when the TV went off at night. They had the color image, and played the anthem? It came back on in the morning. Thank you ... Ann
