Forever Was a Lie

When I kissed you for the
first time. I shook.
And when you asked why I
told you it was because I loved you.
When really I was just
scared of the idea that you loved me.

When I kissed you for the
last time. I shook.
And when you asked why I
told you it was because I loved you.
When really I was just
scared of the idea that you hated me.

Short, sweet and simple. Message is clear but could be expounded upon to add more interest and flavor. Possibilities for a great poet are there but just need some more polishing up which young ladies and women are good at doing. Hope this isn't to thought provoking. Jim Horn
