Forever Me

I imagine if I lived forever
To hurt, bleed, or die, I could never
Immortality and I would be together
To test nature and time would be so clever
However, I would miss my family
Without my loved ones next to me
My life would be a catastrophe
My children will pass before me
My soulmate would go on to glory
 I would outlive history
My eyes would see wars
Chaos and the apocalypse
I would rather not exist to see any of this
Time isn’t on my side
I have no control
I can’t run or hide
But,I can save my soul
So, I take one day at a time and enjoy each and every breath
Because immortality dies within every pair of closed eyes
From every direction comes death
