Forever Lost

I close my eyes, I see your face
I feel your touch, your sweet embrace
forever branded in my mind
the memories, you've left behind
I call for you, you'll never know
because I'm the one, who let you go
now it is I, who'll live with this mistake
alone I sleep, alone I am to awake
I could bet, that you've found someone new
I cannot, for I still love you
A fool I was, a fool I'll be
to let your love, slip away from me
As I cry out, your name tonight
the words from that day, in my mind I recite
I try to fill in, the empty space
but I know it is you, that I'll never replace
