Forever In My Heart

you put on what you've encountered, you wear it on your sleeve,
if only you would let go of the past, and lay it down for me,
there will always be times you ponder,
distant memories may haunt you now,
but it's only the amount of effort you give them, it's only what you will allow,
picture balancing your thoughts on a scale, and tell me what you see,
are there ones weighing down your life on hold, refusing to set you free,
with each timid step you take in the future, does fear grab ahold of you,
are you willing to push the past in its place, and see what u can do,
do you have the muscle to move forward, to take your chance with me,
to take slow steps one day at a time, to maybe see what it could be,
are you so readily willing to walk away for fear of what you feel in your heart,
do you think that if it gets to deep, you'll be too scared to finish what you start,
you can ask yourself a million questions, and recite them in your mind,
but the fact of the matter still remains the same, you left it all behind,
i'de let u back in my life in a heartbeat, because my love will never change,
forever is a long and meaning feeling, but in my heart that is where you'll stay
