My love for her stretched beyond the sky.
The moment I saw her, I knew just why.
Radiant, strong, she lit my life—
I longed to hold her close, forever by my side.
They say love at first sight’s only a dream,
A fleeting spark, not all it seems.
Yet my heart knew truth when she met my eye—
I wanted her with me, forever by my side.
Her voice felt familiar, soothing, bright.
Her jeans and T-shirt fit just right.
My love grew stronger—I knew not why,
Only that I needed her, forever by my side.
With timid steps, I spoke her name,
Unsure if she might feel the same.
“Linda,” she said, with warmth and pride—
And still I wished for her, forever by my side.
She spoke of love, but not for me,
A bond held firm, unshakably free.
So, I stood her friend, went with the tide,
Yet quietly dreamed of her, forever by my side.
Then one day we set out, just friends once more,
Though deep inside, I felt the road before.
I took my chance, my heart spread wide,
As miles slipped past on that long car ride.
We stopped in a park beneath golden light.
Her laughter rang—so pure, so bright.
With gentle grace, I turned her face,
And kissed her, deep, time paused in place.
Years have passed, and our love stands strong.
We’re not young now, but the love lives on.
Children, grandkids—a life well shared,
Through joy and sorrow, we’ve always been there.
I know it now, and forevermore,
She’s the one I cherish and adore.
Through every season, far and wide,
I want her with me, forever by my side.
