Forever And Always, For All Eternity

Infinite love Has come to an end The white dove? Its neck has a bend What was promised forever Did not last Continued for never And came in last Eight months To be continued Eight months You promised no issue You promised forever You promised always You promised to never But you did anyways I cannot be mad I could not do that to you But boy am I sad To watch what we had undo You broke me My heart is in pieces Yet you claim to love we In all our scrambled places I should hate you I really should But what I hate most Is how I do not hate you at all I swore to love you Forever and always And I will continue to do Until you love anyways You might find someone else For that, I cannot blame you But you promised it would be me Until we both come to view Heaven and hell We have been there We are both unwell But we can still get there We can last I want us to But the best Is up to you You make the decisions And I just sit here Accepting the incisions You cut in my layers The layers I have built Surrounding my heart My damaged hilt That you promised not to hurt You knew my past You promised me You would be my last You said you loved me Better than they did You said you would be By my side, no matter what The love you claimed What happened to that? Was that all a lie? Or is it disguised in a hat? Do you know what you are doing? Did it all disappear? Or are you avoiding “I love you, I swear”? Tell me what to do Tell me how to help Tell me why you choose Tell me where to lilt You told my heart to jump It asked, “How high?” But all that is left is a stump Of what used to be mine You stole my heart You are taking it with you It will fall apart Before you can make do Your perfect girl is waiting But your past girl is wanting She is willing to change She is willing to be claimed I am her I am she I will do what is heard As long as you remain to be You may hate me And I will try to be okay But I cannot promise I will be Happy. Happiness is a strange construct One meant to be taken down But why did you have to bust Mine and not your own?

This poem is raw and emotionally honest, capturing the pain of heartbreak with an unfiltered voice. The speaker’s vulnerability and conflicted love shine through each verse, balancing sorrow with lingering hope. Its repetition and direct language mirror the confusion and intensity of love lost too soon. Despite the hurt, there's a deep yearning for reconciliation, and a powerful refusal to let go. The poem speaks to anyone who's loved deeply and been left behind.
