FOREVER A PART OF ME

"FOREVER A PART OF ME"
(poem #6 written by Michelle L LeBlanc on 01/18/2023 in memory of my son Jayden Donald Leblanc ??)

.
Oh, to awake one day to find you here by my side
I miss you my beautiful boy
I never wanted to be taken on this ride

I wish we never let you go on that September 4th day
But how could we deny you a pleasure
You felt you needed in so many ways?

Yesterdays gone, there's nothing that we can do
But only rest in the fact
That there was no suffering for you

Oh my boy, I want you here next to me
To see you come down the stairs
So my heart doesn't have to grieve

Balancing your laptop on just the flat of your hand
I told you that wasn't good
But you always said, 'Mom, that I safely can'

I know I cannot focus on your loss if I'm to get through
But I also can't block out your memory
This is quite a complicated process to do

Tonight I'm taking time to feel the pain
Oh how I wish this was a dream
So many memories of you to retain

Can you come to see me just one last time?
Hug me and tell me you love me
Wrap your arms around this heart of mine

I just don't want you to be gone my precious son
So much fun and laughter
You were always the most animated one

Letting you go, can and never will be
You will always be within my heart
Forever a Part Of Me!!
