Forest Glade

It was a dark night-

And I was awake,

Frightened from the sight-

Of a dark lake.

The clock was ticking,

The scary song it made,

Along with the barking,

In this wide forest glade.

Sky was black,

With no moon and stars,

I wish I could go back,

To the way everything was.
