Kim Shaw Poet Verse

Forest Fountain

Walking through the fragrant
overgrown mountain trails
on the lush Greek isle of Ikaria,

Hot sun fades to shadowy dusk, 
turning craggy forest kings 
into silhouette art forms.

On this moonlit eve, 
we discover a Roman fountain 
flowing with golden forsythia.
