Forest Escapade
Ancient oaks permeate this hidden heaven;
A hundred fifty miles from any known destination.
Filled with an energy sensed by all life;
One who wonders here is freed from all strife.
The mantra embedded is contentment;
For here is void of resentment.
This wonderful ancient forest;
Blissfully ignorant of common-day tourist.
Connected unabashedly with all that's present;
From the rocks to the frogs, and every last pheasant.
Consciousness in sync;
There's no need to think.
A fresh forest breeze dilutes inhibitions;
A sip of brook water restores lost ambitions.
Nature's raw beauty, no need for façade;
The original panacea, in one forest escapade.
