He comes to me a moonlit silhouette. My fingers dance along his face like spiders ensuring I’m not asleep. I pull him in and feel his heart beating slightly quicker than mine. Our love is not enough to end the wars, to break down the walls, to solve what cannot be solved; We stop. His silken lips reach for mine and for a moment we are the only ones alive. But the magnets between us are now at opposite poles. I look into his eyes- a small blue bird drowning in an ocean of pain. The same pain that is swallowing my heart. The magnet grows stronger pushing us apart. But not before I say his name one last time Romeo.

Beautifully done, Rene...And the last line brought out an ear-to-ear smile for more than just seconds. ~ Gershon
