For You To Choose

I daydream about the future, Hoping for a similar reality. But I can never be sure, What lies ahead of me. Am I the one that will lose, I can’t bear to hear what you’ll say. It’s left up to you to choose, Hopefully a brightness, one day. If I could change the mistakes of the past, I’d travel the universe for the answers. Could a true love last, For I am still forever hers. I dance with my fears, Mirroring a haunting silhouette. Drowning amongst endless tears, I’m filled with a deep regret. If I could see you soon, I could relinquish this sadness. I would’ve given you the moon, If you could help kill this madness. Could you decide, What our future may hold? Could you hold me through this ride, Despite what my sorrow may have told? Please don’t ever say, I’m the one you want to lose. I’ve succumbed today, To my minds treacherous ruse.
