For Worth Or For Worse

Your words The way you talk Can't tell About your heart's worth. Many say, I love you, to take from you And soon Turn a cold shoulder to you. Their face The way they smile Can tell If their words are worthwhile. Watch for That crooked smile Those eyes With a smirk in their light. Don't throw Pearls to swine They say, Don't let the thieves, pry. Patience Is a virtue They say, Wait and see should be a rule. Be true To who you are And give From the heart. But hold Your love for one man or woman Wait till you find The one who is your man or woman. By CarolineCécile Copyright © 08.28.10

There are many deceptions we encounter as we search for our special partner, Caroline. As we grow older, we are more able to sort truth from lies. Quite a few young people haven't reached this point yet and suffer the consequences when they throw their "pearls to swine." Although the right person may never come along, I'd rather have the truth than succumb to lies. Excellent insight in this poignant rhyme, Caroline! Love, Carolyn
