For the Sparrow

Oh, for the sparrow
     who feathers his journey
rallied by sunshine
             chosen by air

Capturing breeze
           unaware of his being
free of intention
           free of despair

Oh, for the sparrow
     who weathers his beauty
in balance with nature
      for delicate grace

Gentle and soothing
         in care of the heavens
to live for the ages
     for all to embrace
