smooth jazz just sizzles
totally loving hot sax tones
that dance on the streets


soul saxophone spirit
gold and shining with such pride
musician of mine


notes fly to the moon
escape this earth in vermillion
rainbow gratitunes

Saxy.... LOL. Actually, for me, only the 2nd senryu has the mildest hint of saxy. It had no theme of sex. Pangie. Tomorrow’s poem will....))))

Paul, thank you for commenting on the poem, itself. That is meaningful to any poet. I really am honored by your words, because to me, you ARE the Master in this area.)) true! I loved hearing Jazz in San Francisco! Where I went to Duke Ellington’s birthday party. A small intimate one. Got to see Erroll.Garner in college. Now, I hear jazz on the internet. I love Latin Jazz, as well I have a fear of writing Senryus and Haikus. Though I had a POTD on one. You encourage me to pen more! Thank you. Enjoy your jazz festival. Many thanks, Pangie
