Notes About The Poem

For the interest is blood

What do you see when you gaze deep down hell
Me holding some gold you would like to own
Pay me first then take it if you please
But do take care,
If you take it and don’t pay
for the interest is blood,
And the path back up is a river of mud.
The knight is a shell, his spirit is gone,
But the curse of the gold will carry on
