For the Fans

Smell of freshly cut grasses, Crowds coming in the masses, Coming to the baseball fields, Anticipating what this season yields, Watching the pitches, Seeing the speed of those 108 stitches, Cheering on the home team, Fans and players share the same dream, Advance the runner lay a bunt, To win the game is what they want, Giving the fans something to enjoy, Like a kid with a brand new toy, The sound of the baseball caught in the glove, That's the noise we have come to love, The players are built tough, The games can get rough, The fans cheer for more, An gasp when he rounds third and goes four, Home run! What a feeling, Fans are so loud it blows off the ceiling, Can't get nervous when your down there, You step up the pitcher gives you a glare, The game ends and it's done, The home team did it they won, That's a great feeling indeed, To win for the fans is all they need.
