For Od

My son is a silent star In the distant sky of my love He shines In cloudless memories Of simple times The child sleeping on my breast While mother snores The child tugging at my rest With incessant chores The child grew like an eagle flies Above the worship of the eye My love is a pendulous dew Waiting to fall On the lips of child in the desert of self O how fear the diamond so fragile May break upon a heart so granite And the boy I ran with long ago And the boy I sang with long ago Has become the man I do not know Since from my exile nothing shows The silence makes love invisible Not the distance terminable On leaf tip Waiting to drip Before the bee may sip.
