For My New Friend

Friendship is more precious than diamonds
Can’t buy it anywhere like a bag of almonds
But for you I’ll give up a day with almonds
So I could have that life long friendship like diamond

For my new friend I’ll be strong
So I can defend him if wars prolong
This promise I shall keep forever
Just promise me you’ll leave me never

For my new friend I’ll stay up all night
Just to make sure he is all right
This promise I shall keep as long as I live
I hope it’s not too hard for you to believe
