For My Good
What the devil meant for bad,
God meant it for my good.
Yes, I’m from the hood,
But I’m from the group
Of peculiar people,
A royal priesthood.
Yes my region of birth
May be considered
The backwoods
In whatever area
The devil sets me up
To have lack
I know for sure that
God has my back
He sent his only begotten
Son to die on the cross
For that
Often the devil thinks
I suffer a loss
But it’s for my good
And for the praise
Of my biggest boss
What the devil meant for bad,
God meant it for my good.
Yes, I’m from the hood,
But I’m from the group
Of peculiar people,
A royal priesthood.
