For My Friend Terry

For My Friend Terry

I must count all of the many ways

Even if in a daze or horrendous haze

And instead of running off in a rage

With my energy God I must engage.

No one does like to lonely die

Have to wipe their tears all dry

God for me whose life He planned

It is Him who always will understand.

I am always so grateful for our veterans, and i'm willing to bet you were in a war where you were spit upon. Not everyone felt that way!

Fortunately I never went overseas. I went to college under GI Bill and Graduated from Wichita State. I served as a unit administrator for 25 years in charge of personnel administration and attendee five member's funerals. I learned a lot. My father was killed in the Med on Aircraft Carrier Intrepid. Learned a lot from that also.
