For My Dad

My eyes are playing tricks on me
I thought I saw you standing there
I thought I heard you laughing
I saw your smile reappear
Your so close but far enough away
My arms just can't reach to
Out and over where you are
I need so bad to touch you
To hear the comfort of your voice
That someday I fear will fade
I run so fast to catch you
but you just move further away
I wake up crying out most nights
Calling out your name
I can almost hear you calling back
But your voice doesn't sound quite the same
I just needed to tell you
Your more than just a memory
I miss and love you so much
This was for you daddy

Very heartfelt, I lost my father recently so I know how much this hurts.
